DV
produced for the 48-hour Film Project
This project was a 16-hour guerilla
shoot. Twenty teams were given forty-eight hours to write, shoot,
post, and deliver a short film. On a Friday evening, each team
drew a random genre from a hat and were assigned a common set of
elements that were required to appear in their film. The elements
were: character – Les – model
prop – stuffed animal
line – "I see something I don't like."
our genre – Film Noir
As our team's videographer, I was very
pleased to receive the Film Noir milieu since we could shoot with very
simple yet highly stylized lighting
– and we could hide cheap
production values in the shadows.
The production team received the shooting script at 6am Saturday and
shot until 10pm that night.
